Therefore we have decided to continue a gastronomic
path, started with Slow Food in 2007, expressing
religious rites in common actions to prepare a
dish, as we strongly feel that food and its preparation
are important means to tell the substantial culture
of an area.
Those who are going to take part to the fifth
edition of the Chants of Passion and to live in
the streets of the Grecìa Salentina the
intense emotion of the story of Jesus Christ,
will complete their cultural experience with the
knowledge of Easter traditional dishes of the
Salento region. For this reason each restaurateur
participating to this initiative will include
in his menus a particular one with Lenten dishes.
A way to get back the most intimate dimension
of dinner, removing the gap between who prepares
food and who eats it.
The “Chants of Passion” Menu
can be found only in the restaurants participating
to the initiative.
